My Korean wedding expenses – Traditional wedding hall

So we did our wedding outdoor at King Sejong Memorial Hall 세정대왕기념관 near Korea University.

Hall rental + videography + photography cost 1,100,000.

Then we added on 사물놀이 for 500,000won.

They had 3 slots a day. 11am, 2pm, and 5pm. We took the 2pm slot 😁

Lunch buffet was 40,000won per head.

If you sign up for a minimum of 200 pax, they’ll provide free shuttle service from subway station nearby.

As we did not expect too many guest we signed up for 150pax only. Ended up 202pax attended. Should had just signed 200pax and use the free shuttle. 😢

So there are some trick here. You’ll have to pay an additional of 100,000won for HD videography and 200,000won for UHD i think. We paid for HD.

Make up and traditional wedding costume was included in the price. But for female hair due to some wig you’ll have to pay more. Both mothers was 20,000won per person and mine was 50,000won if i remembered it correctly. Oh we also paid 50,000won or 100,000won each for parents make up.

Anyway all in plus lunch buffet, we’ve spent almost around 12,000,000won for the wedding. Covered by money we received from guest 😊.

  1. Hey, Ivan’s here! Hope you still remember me who left a comment two weeks ago on your other post regarding getting marital status letter from JPN in Putrajaya!
Thanks to your post, my trip to Putrajaya was smooth and I got everything I want within half day. Fast forward to now, I finally got my F6 visa approved and will be relocating to Korea next month!

The traditional wedding ceremony above looks amazing and the cost is absolutely making sense, as compared to the cost in Malaysia and Singapore!

Would like to get more details from you when it’s our turn to have the wedding ceremony. Hope you don’t mind! Haha!
